The suspension kit transforms any Series 1, 2 or 3 XJ6/ XJ12 and XJS. A kit that goes back 2 decades and has been tested by some of the most critical Jaguar drivers. This kit uses the Simply Performance fast road springs made by H&R and adjustable GAZ shocks. This spring design was finely tuned and developed by a reputable Jaguar parts supplier Classic Spares throughout the late 90's and 2000's they have a subtle tweak over standard rates. These are a road spring and resemble a fast road option similar to a Jaguar sport car or Aston DB7.
In this kit it combines the adjustable shock absorbers from GAZ. These are a British made shock absorber. The shocks are zinc plated and are dampening adjustment through a knob on the side of the shock. The rear shocks are platform adjust, meaning they resemble a coil over where height can be adjusted for your application. The shocks are individually tested by GAZ to ensure a high quality. If you dont like the gold colour of the zinc we can also get them in black zinc.
The springs are manufactured by H&R in Germany using the latest technology. These were originally produced by Eibach but due to rising costs and lead times we transitioned to H&R for the same quality product at prices we can match from 2018. Although there is a choice of road springs and fast road and track, most kits are supplied with road springs. These offer approximately 25mm of lowering and a tweaked rate. The front springs are adjusted with packer spacers where as the rears are adjusted on the shocks adjustable spring seat. With each front packer spacer offering around 7.5mm of additional height its easy to make up the 25mm for a standard height car. The Jaguar book says you can install upto 5 per side (advisable 3 on the bottom and 2 on top).
Together they make a great combination that transforms the XJS and XJ models. The XJS and XJ's are renown for there wallowy suspension and loose feel but, with this suspension package it allows you to adjust it for your driving style. The market lacks options with suspension packages but this one is certainly a high quality and premium package. Because there are effectively 6 springs and 6 shocks it does impact the price. The rear shocks also having the height adjustment facility makes them one of the more expensive shocks that GAZ produces.
